Job Description:
A highly reputable Australian organisation have asked Morgan McKinley to source an outstanding, qualified Management Accountant to join their finance division.Our client is an employer of choice, offering a high achieving candidate an exciting business partnering role, work life balance and varied day to day responsibilities. The aim of the role is to manage the financial accounting requirements of the support, corporate entities of the Group through budgeting, forecasting and reporting
Responsibilities involved are:
Prepare and distribute monthly Management Reporting packs to designated divisions
Carry out variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities
Ensure adherence to Group Accounting policy for Corporate and International entities(impacting statutory, regulatory and management reporting)
Research and document complex technical accounting issues (both measurement and disclosure issues).
Assist in the preparation and presentation of budget papers to Senior Finance
Perform quality analysis on budgets submitted
Support divisions to identify issues, risks and opportunities in forecasts
Financial analysis to track trends, variances and cost implications

Heads of Statutory Reporting
Senior Managers of following Accounting Operations groups:
Tax Accounting
Financial Accounting
Reconciliations
Financial Systems
Training & Development
To be considered you will have the following attributes:
CPA or CA qualified
A minimum of 5 years post qualified experience in a commercial role with a focus on budgeting
Previous experience supporting a non finance function
Confident in report writing
Commercial acumen
Excellent communication skills
System literate with strong Excel skills and
Able to work autonomously and driven to achieve high results
Strong financial accounting experience including excellent understanding of accounting standards (AIFRS)
