Job Description:
Our client is a leading insurance and re-insurance company based in Dublin. They are currently recruiting for a senior underwriter with fluent German to grow their presence in the German market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primarily concerned with developing the company's book in the German market focusing particularly on developing a primary casualty book of business along with lower excesses.
- Diversify the book currently written in Dublin away from its reliance on global multinational corporations.
- Handle accounts in the existing book where German language policies are issued/followed.
- Extensive marketing and travel throughout the German market with a secondary emphasis on Scandinavian markets.
Ideally, the successful candidate will possess the following:
- 5-10 years underwriting experience in casualty lines.
- Primary underwriting experience.
- Experience underwriting European coverage grants such as pure financial loss, product recall and German extended product liability.
- Fluency in German.
- Fluency in Scandinavian languages desirable.
- Come from an Irish domestic, London or European markets background.
