Senior Commercial Claims Examiner - Responsibilities:
Liaison between Insured’s, Loss Adjustors, Engineers, Solicitors and Barristers - High level dispute resolution and settlement authority
- Negotiation of quantum and liability in District, Circuit and High Court jurisdictions in both Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland
- Interpretation of independent engineering and medical evidence
- Payment authority to €100,000/£STG 100,000, handling authority to €250,000/£STG 250,000
- Previously handled files to €1,000,000/£STG 1,000,000 in liaison with Claims Managers in Ireland, UK & USA
- Conduct onsite claim reviews of major and minor clients on an annual and biannual basis
- Provided supervisory and referral role to junior team members
- Production of, and interpretation of, monthly management reports
- Production of quarterly claims review reports and review with European Managers
- Conducted internal Sarbane-Oxley audits biannually
- Audited all service level providers (loss adjusters, solicitors and engineers) annually
- Handling of all referred files for Irish risks based on foreign policies (China, USA, France, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Italy and UK)
- Liaison with III in relation to CPD requirements and implementation
- Ongoing assessment and risk valuation/claims advice on potential new business
