Pfizer is a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry.  Based in Ireland for over 35 years, the company in 2002 established Pfizer Global Financial Shared Services (GFSS) in Dublin.  This is the financial services centre for Pfizer's European business operations.  It is located in The Watermarque Building, Dublin 4.  Employing over two hundred and sixty personnel, it is a centre of excellence for financial services.   The centre supports multiple Pfizer business units across eighteen European countries.  Its purpose is to:

1. Centralise and manage the financial activities of Pfizer’s European operations.These activities include:

• Financial Reporting
• Corporate Tax
• Internal Audit
• Accounts Receivable
• Expenditure
• Treasury
• Tax (VAT )
•  Intercompany accounts 

  2.    Advise Pfizer operations on control and compliance activities
  3.    Manage global and European corporate finance projects.
